Cities around the world in 2019 have faced the impact and spread of the Covid-19 pandemic with unprecedented speed as a result of our hyper-connected so¬ciety. As history teaches, epidemics plague society through the vulnerabilities that humans create through their relationships with the environment, with other species and with each other. The ongoing pandemic of Covid-19 is a strong reminder that urbanization has changed the way that people and communities live, work, interact, and it is necessary even more than in the past a multidisciplinary approach to develop systemic operational skills capable of dealing with complexity. Humanity has pushed into an existential crisis, showing the vulnerability of our response systems to sudden shocks. The research project, called POST-UNLOCK, introduces the Local Resilience Units to promote place-based strategies. This project emphasizes the need of the definition of new territorial scenarios for the Metropolitan City of Turin considering the post-emergency phase within the framework of 2030 Agenda. After the pandemic crisis, to manage new possible and further waves and pressures, it is critical to understand the system response capacity to unknown situation introducing and testing a new model of territorial planning and organization. The period of physical distancing has underlined the importance of the presence of a dense network of neighbourhood services, and many measures adopted during the emergency will become part of daily life, changing habits and behaviours. The mid-term results illustrate the selection of a set of Post-Covid indicators through the consultation of already consolidated indicators within different projects and territorial databases. Based on their evaluation, and thanks to the creation of an interactive dashboard, it is possible to analyze the baseline scenario and changes that occurred during the emergency phase. These scenarios highlight the weaknesses and priority areas to act on, experimenting the "augmented city at a neighbourhood scale" as an urban response to the pandemic. Concluding, the current pandemic is a perfect scenario for rethinking resilience in a more transformative way, including better data management and evaluating the impact of the shock for future city resilience development.

Abstract
Concluding, the current pandemic is a perfect scenario for rethinking resilience in a more transformative way, including better data management and evaluating the impact of the shock for future city resilience development.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
