Il fenomeno dello spopolamento nella Sardegna settentrionale: strategie e soluzioni per un nuovo abitare

The phenomenon of depopulation is a problem that hits the hinterland of Sardinia since the postwar period: on this territory many small centers are entirely abandoned for years. In the short term seems unlikely reverse this trend, but it’s possible to work in order to reactivate gradually and repopulate these places: indeed, in a technologically advanced era like the current one, many of the causes that led to abandonment can be considered overtaken, if not even an opportunity and a motivation to study new ways of living. The dissemination of these new technologies can be the starting point of a local economy renaissance based on the recovery of these places, that could become technologic and sustainable villages in which develop domestic cultivations and farm and produce local agri-food products. By using the case study of the abandoned boroughs around the municipality of Padru, in the region of Gallura (Sardinia), this research intends to describe a complete picture of the actions that are necessary to make possible the renaissance of these boroughs.
