The appearance of submerged villages due to the construction of reservoirs in the last century as a result of the drought period experienced in Spain during 2017 and the spontaneous phenomenon of visiting them, opens a new door to reflection on this type of tourism so called drough season tourism. These are places forgotten by the official history that the memory of its former inhabitants and curious visitors tries to recover. Faced with the interest in its use as an economic resource, a reflection from the history of art and architecture academy is needed in order to analyze this phenomenon and propose solutions that tries to reconcile memory and history.
