Abstract
The “To.Get.More” team participates to the cultural debate on urban transformation with a concept for a call for design. The document proposes a system of project requirements, relating to 4 different models: Functional Model; Business Model; Facility Management Model; and Environmental Energy Model. Global4Local Milano Digital District will be a functional urban node of the city characterized by a high degree of resilience. In fact, the established mix of functions will support the city life and will represent a pilot case of innovative energy-environmental strategies to reduce the impact of the H24/7 digital activities that will characterize the urban sector. The digital district will be accessible to everyone and will provide an intermodal transportation network to encourage a change of lifestyle for residents and users, tailored for the human scale. Resources (energy, water and materials) will be preserved by locally managed centralized systems. Buildings will maximize the management of resources and materials in the use phase and at the end of life, self-production of energy from renewable sources and on-site storage, approaching the target of net zero energy consumption. The public space will favor environmental comfort by the integration of shadowed green surfaces and spaces equipped for social life, including digital one.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
