It illustrates the City of Turin's urban regeneration strategies, coping with shrinkage, with the large amount of post-industrial sites, paying particular attention to the improvement of environmental quality. A system of new urban parks is the outcome of a variety of urban planning tools. The authors discuss the significance of Turin case study with reference to Japan urban shrinkage.
