The switching noise generated by three-phase inverters gives rise to common mode (CM) conducted emissions. Usually, such disturbances are attenuated with filters at the PCB level, which are expensive and bulky. Alternatively, software techniques, like spread spectrum modulation, can be used, obtaining a mitigation of the conducted EMI. However, they present several drawbacks, like an increased output voltage ripple. This work proposes a software solution that mitigates such disturbances with no effect on the regulation of the output voltage and on the power efficiency.

Abstract
The switching noise generated by three-phase inverters gives rise to common mode (CM) conducted emissions. Usually, such disturbances are attenuated with filters at the PCB level, which are expensive and bulky. Alternatively, software techniques, like spread spectrum modulation, can be used, obtaining a mitigation of the conducted EMI. However, they present several drawbacks, like an increased output voltage ripple. This work proposes a software solution that mitigates such disturbances with no effect on the regulation of the output voltage and on the power efficiency.Pubblicazioni consigliate
