This paper is the result of the master thesis “Urban regeneration in suburbs: Falchera and Tor Bella Monaca case studies”, which investigated in depth how the concept of Urban regeneration in Italy has changed. Indeed, nowadays the idea of “integrated ap- proach”, typical of the season of “Complex Programs”, is often reduced to the rhetoric of new transformation programs. However it is increasingly common to observe micro and bottom-up urban interventions, that shall keep the idea of integration between social and structural actions, local development and participation. Even so, these practices do not always succeed and got involved and nd a support from upper institutional levels. Starting from the comparison of the neighborhoods of Falchera in Turin and Tor Bella Monaca in Rome, the article aims to investigate more extensively the new forms of urban regeneration and how these experiences have assumed peculiar characteristics in the two contexts of reference.

Abstract
Starting from the comparison of the neighborhoods of Falchera in Turin and Tor Bella Monaca in Rome, the article aims to investigate more extensively the new forms of urban regeneration and how these experiences have assumed peculiar characteristics in the two contexts of reference.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
