Gaetano Bertolotti’s drawings and Stefano Molli’s ones propose to the publisher Giuseppe Pomba, founder of the Unione Tipogra co Editrice Torinese, for the headquarter of his society in Torino combine the production needs of the company with those of housing. Expression on a conscious choice of work culture, the two buildings elaborate a common model, based on the building type of the palace with central courtyard, in which accom- modation and manufacturing spaces is integrated with rooms for printing, for binding and for the storage of publications edited by a company designed to lay the rst publish- ing house in 19th century. The fronts shows re ned variations of neoclassical language, wanted by Bertolotti in contrada Madonna degli Angeli, and interesting characteristics of neomedieval architecture, chosen by Molli for the headquarter near Valentino park. Both of them masterfully insert the two industrial buildings in urban space.
