Saturation departure headway is a fundamental parameter required to optimized design of signalized intersections. As resulted conclusions from different countries are seriously affected by user’s behaviors, it is necessary to have some studies in Iran to obtain fundamental traffic parameters of intersection. In this study, field data related to departure headway for three peak periods of morning, midday and evening were collected at three signalized intersections in Rasht city. Then, maximum, minimum and mean values of departure headway were calculated. Effects of peak time period of data collection and lane number variables on mean values of departure headway at three signalized intersections of Rasht were analyzed by descriptive Analysis of Variance model. As result of this study, it can be mentioned that there is statistically significant difference between mean values of departure headway in three peak periods of morning, midday and evening. Also, number of lane has statistically significant effect on value of departure headway.

Abstract
Also, number of lane has statistically significant effect on value of departure headway.Pubblicazioni consigliate
