We demonstrate dual-state quantum dot laser self-interferometry. A low-frequency Doppler signal originating from the coupled emission-states bears the potential of high-velocity-detection of diffuse reflecting objects. Modeling confirms the experiments and identify the carrier-coupling as the relevant mechanism
