A mathematical model for the optimization of trajectories and, in particular, a stochastic functional depending on the distance between the actual and the assigned trajectory of a dumbbell satellite subjected to a random field of aerodynamical actions in upper-atmosphere flow conditions is proposed. The existence of the minimum of this functional is proved and two simulations are presented by means of a direct method of solution.

Abstract
A mathematical model for the optimization of trajectories and, in particular, a stochastic functional depending on the distance between the actual and the assigned trajectory of a dumbbell satellite subjected to a random field of aerodynamical actions in upper-atmosphere flow conditions is proposed. The existence of the minimum of this functional is proved and two simulations are presented by means of a direct method of solution.Pubblicazioni consigliate
