A general Heisenberg system in an external field is solved by a second order cumulant cluster approximation. The uncompatibility between the solutions of the polarization selfconsistency and minimum free energy equations is discussed. A correlated mean-field is then introduced which allows the removal of such difficulty at low temperature.
