The paper introduces a dynamic and interactive generative modelling platform for urban and regional design. By dynamic modelling, the platform evolves in time according to the interactions of designers, planners, decision-makers and all others involved. By interactive modelling, we mean a process across policy, planning and design, and their respective actors. Based on several synchronous and/or asynchronous users’ interactions, models are generated at run time. The models are built by defining the datasets and the actions (tasks) to perform on that data. The platform reads and correlates data at urban–regional extent from various authorities to generate dynamic datasets. Tasks are especially powerful when they integrate generative procedures in a hierarchical structure. We consider the platform application to dynamically and interactively generating models of an Alpine valley. The modelling in the spatial and temporal dimensions provided us with the elements to study the evolution over the next 20 years.

Abstract
The modelling in the spatial and temporal dimensions provided us with the elements to study the evolution over the next 20 years.Pubblicazioni consigliate
