Special issue on the occasion of the 60th birthday of professor Filippo Gazzola

The present volume is dedicated to Filippo Gazzola’s 60th birthday. It gathers the contributions of the speakers invited to the workshop in his honor, most of whom are his former collaborators. The primary goal of this collection of papers is to provide an up-to-date account of the main current research problems in the field of Nonlinear PDEs, with special emphasis on their applications to real-life phenomena. As the focal topics, the volume includes the modeling of the dynamics of suspension bridges, fluid mechanics, fluid structure interactions, elasticity theory.
