The paper explores participatory self-building as co-crafting through the work of the Polito Social Design Lab. Using a Design Anthropology approach, it investigates three dimensions: the influence of project scale on relations and impacts, the situated role of participants within collaborative practices, and the political, social, and environmental meanings of sustainability. Findings highlight co-crafting as a transformative practice for inclusion and social innovation.
