The essay, which aims to continue a reflection on the theme of the Restoration project, begins with the analysis of two texts, a novel and a comic book, which each investigate the theme of the relationship of Space and Time by challenging both the idea of chronological time and the idea of unitary space. Overlapping multiple times and spaces characterizes these two literary works that contemplate the presence of the specter as presence-absence. This very aspect, and following Derrida’s reflection, leads me to reason about the «thing» of the restoration project, understood as haunted as much by past and future lives as by past and future architectures. The essay ends with a reflection on nostalgia and metaphor as a tool for the restoration project.

Abstract
The essay, which aims to continue a reflection on the theme of the Restoration project, begins with the analysis of two texts, a novel and a comic book, which each investigate the theme of the relationship of Space and Time by challenging both the idea of chronological time and the idea of unitary space. Overlapping multiple times and spaces characterizes these two literary works that contemplate the presence of the specter as presence-absence. This very aspect, and following Derrida’s reflection, leads me to reason about the «thing» of the restoration project, understood as haunted as much by past and future lives as by past and future architectures. The essay ends with a reflection on nostalgia and metaphor as a tool for the restoration project.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
