Dottorato in Patrimonio Architettonico. Formazione e ricerca 37°- 40° ciclo / PhD Programme in Architectural Heritage. Training and Research Activities 37th - 40th cycle

Il volume - bilingue italiano e inglese - riassume le attività e la missione del Corso di Dottorato in Patrimonio Architettonico / Architectural Heritage (DPA) della Scuola di Dottorato del Politecnico di Torino, nella sua essenza multi- e inter-disciplinare e il ventaglio delle ricerche intraprese sulle tematiche patrimoniali. Si rivolge a possibili candidati e candidate al Corso di Dottorato e al panorama di Enti, Istituti e Imprese che rappresentano e possono rappresentare i potenziali interlocutori e partner delle ricerche di terzo livello sulle tematiche dei beni architettonici e del paesaggio culturale. Aprono il libro i testi di saluto del Direttore della Scuola di Dottorato del Politecnico di Torino e del Direttore del Dipartimento di Architettura e Design, per inquadrare l’attività del Corso rispettivamente nel contesto del panorama dell’alta formazione dell’Ateneo e del Dipartimento sede amministrativa del Corso. Segue una illustrazione della sua natura, curata dalla Coordinatrice secondo il documento dell’accreditamento ministeriale, che ne specifica gli obiettivi formativi e i temi di ricerca, legati alle grandi sfide che oggi investono il patrimonio costruito: la transizione ecologica e ambientale, la digital transformation, il contributo all’accessibilità e all’inclusività, l’innovazione di processo nelle strategie di conoscenza, progetto, cantiere, monitoraggio e gestione. Sono inoltre riportati i docenti che afferiscono al Collegio DPA e le loro affiliazioni (che contemplano 4 dipartimenti PoliTo e 7 Università estere), le 10 discipline coinvolte (storia dell’architettura, restauro dell’architettura, geomatica, disegno, composizione architettonica e urbana, architettura del paesaggio, architettura degli interni e allestimento, estimo e valutazione, tecnica delle costruzioni, fisica tecnica ambientale), i Laboratori e i Centri che supportano le ricerche di III livello e i membri del Comitato di consultazione. Una sezione è dedicata agli abstract degli insegnamenti dell’offerta formativa degli ultimi due anni (2024-2025 e 2025-2026) mentre l’ultimo e più vasto segmento del libro, illustrato, riguarda la sintesi delle trentadue ricerche di tesi appena concluse e in corso (cicli 37-40). The volume, bilingual in Italian and English, summarises the activities and mission of the Doctoral Programme in Patrimonio Architettonico / Architectural Heritage (DPA) of the Doctoral School of the Politecnico di Torino (ScuDo), in its multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary essence, as well as the panorama of research undertaken on heritage issues. It is aimed at potential candidates for the Doctoral Programme and at the range of organisations, institutes and companies that represent and may represent potential interlocutors and partners for third-level research on architectural heritage and cultural landscape issues. The book opens with greetings from the Director of the ScuDo and the Director of the Department of Architecture and Design, who frame the activities of the programme in the context of the university’s higher education scenery and the department where the programme is administered, respectively. This is followed by an illustration of its nature, edited by the Coordinator, in accordance with the ministerial accreditation document, which specifies its learning objectives and research topics, linked to the significant challenges facing the built heritage today: ecological and environmental transition, digital transformation, contribution to accessibility and inclusiveness, process innovation in knowledge, design, construction, monitoring and management strategies. The lecturers belonging to the DPA Academic Board and their affiliations (which include four PoliTo departments and seven foreign Universities) are also listed, the ten disciplines involved (History of Architecture, Architectural Conservation, Geomatics, Drawing, Architectural and Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, Interior Architecture and Exhibition Design, Real Estate Appraisal and Project Evaluation, Structural Analysis and Design, Building Physics and Building Energy Systems), the laboratories and centres that support third-level research, and the members of the Advisory Board. One section is dedicated to abstracts of the courses offered over the last two years (2024-2025 and 2025-2026), while the last and most extensive section of the book, which is illustrated, provides a summary of the thirty-two recently completed and ongoing thesis research projects (cycles 37th-40th).
