The study of fortified architecture has increasingly relied on digital tools to document, analyse, and interpret historical structures. In this context, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the state of the art requires a methodological approach capable of capturing both the surveying techniques used in the field and their application in semantically rich digital models. To achieve this, two complementary research methodologies have been adopted, each addressing a different yet interconnected aspect of digital documentation.

Abstract
The study of fortified architecture has increasingly relied on digital tools to document, analyse, and interpret historical structures. In this context, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the state of the art requires a methodological approach capable of capturing both the surveying techniques used in the field and their application in semantically rich digital models. To achieve this, two complementary research methodologies have been adopted, each addressing a different yet interconnected aspect of digital documentation.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
