This paper explores the history of housing projects for single people in Italy between the Thirties and the Fifties by examining their genesis, models, representations, and media dissemination. Combining research on secondary and existing sources, with a novel perspective on some archival materials, this study is part of the current historical debate on the conception and circulation of unconventional housing models in the Italian and international urban landscape.
