In recent decades the role of city museums and urban history institutions has changed, adapting to the challenges posed by contemporary society. At the core of their interests there are now new themes, such as the analysis and the decrease of social inequalities. It is becoming clear that through a fair urban heritage storytelling either the engagement of communities, museum activities can help achieve more inclusive and sustainable cities.
