The project identifies in the river linear connectors of this lower Piedmont area the territorial structures with the greatest transformative potential in relation to the local problems. The intention is to ease, by strengthening their natural features, a new phase of the settlement dynamics. As a starting move, the intensification of the riparian vegetation aims to reverse the systematic deforestation of the plain due to agricultural pressure. New “solid” green patches, able to trigger a generally rethought settlement and environmental strategy of intervention, are meant to enhance the function of “biological corridors” of the rivers and, together, offer a better slow mobility, now almost absent and highly needed. An improved river system, in terms of landscape, vegetation and leisure equipment, would increase the potential of existing nodes in relation with the other territorial networks, bolstering the future realization of new intersections. In these places of interface between agricultural production, urban extensions, and natural reserves, the creation of a series of specific facilities (didactic farms, farmer markets, food experiences) and housing dedicated to new forms of living can be encouraged, both for temporary users (tourism, seasonal work) and for long-time residents.

Abstract
In these places of interface between agricultural production, urban extensions, and natural reserves, the creation of a series of specific facilities (didactic farms, farmer markets, food experiences) and housing dedicated to new forms of living can be encouraged, both for temporary users (tourism, seasonal work) and for long-time residents.Pubblicazioni consigliate
