In 1947 the Manifattura Applicazioni Sintetiche was established in Turin with its main product: Resinflex. Resistant, waterproof, hygienic and colourful, Resinflex gained immediate success becoming the preferred coating material for countless applications and was used by some of the most important architects of the 20th century. Soon declined in almost infinite variations of surface textures, colours and supports, often custom-made to meet the clients' needs, it was used in several sectors such as architecture, design and transportation. The Resinflex story highlights how the revolution in the field of plastic materials in the postwar period was at the basis of the innovation of products and production processes, which also affected the traditional construction sector in a climate of enthusiasm for experimentation and trust in technological progress. The study of archival documents preserved in the historic Resinflex factory, together with other archival and bibliographic sources, has made it possible to identify and reconstruct the company's history, its products, and some of its main achievements.

Abstract
The study of archival documents preserved in the historic Resinflex factory, together with other archival and bibliographic sources, has made it possible to identify and reconstruct the company's history, its products, and some of its main achievements.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
