Far from purely emergency measures, the local government drew up the Extraordinary Residential Building Program in the effort of revisioning public action through mass-housing procedures. This research observes the role played by architects within this episode, focusing on the expertise of Pietro Barucci, also through his personal writings and archive as key source of analysis.
