Abstract

Hydroelectric heritage testifies to the deep transformations of mountain territories at the beginning of the last century. Dams, power stations, and infrastructures constitute part of a production system of territorial scale that is mostly still active and well maintained. In some cases, these assets, both in use or abandoned, have undergone a process of patrimonialisation which, in addition to promoting their preservation, provides for their direct involvement in local development processes.
