The paper deals with the complex of the Ville Roddolo realized nearby Turin at the beginning of the XX century to host young women affected by mental diseases. Through the years its original archi- tectural structure has been transfigured due to continuous adaptations done as a pretext to accom- plish the needs of care and therapy. In 2019 an inter-sectorial and experimental project, launched by the Foundation of Architecture in Turin and an Association working in the field of social innovation for mental diseases in collaboration with the Mental Health Services, experimented a participative process for the renewal of the common space of the psychiatric department.
