The Occitan valleys of Cuneo, Italy, present an interesting case study for the valorisation of the hydroelectric heritage. The development of tourist infrastructures has left these valleys behind, and today, they're depopulated and under-appreciated, although they're full of natural and cultural resources, including hydroelectric heritage. Many different itineraries cross this area: the Via Alpina, the GTA, the Sentiero Italia and many other shorter trails. These routes can be used to create new itineraries that require minimal interventions to valorise the hydroelectric heritage of these valleyse and merge naturalistic and cultural tourism to create a positive feedback for the territory.

Abstract
The Occitan valleys of Cuneo, Italy, present an interesting case study for the valorisation of the hydroelectric heritage. The development of tourist infrastructures has left these valleys behind, and today, they're depopulated and under-appreciated, although they're full of natural and cultural resources, including hydroelectric heritage. Many different itineraries cross this area: the Via Alpina, the GTA, the Sentiero Italia and many other shorter trails. These routes can be used to create new itineraries that require minimal interventions to valorise the hydroelectric heritage of these valleyse and merge naturalistic and cultural tourism to create a positive feedback for the territory.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
