Waste management is becoming increasingly important in modern society, as it is essential to protect public health, preserve the environment, and promote sustainable development. Effective waste management requires a combination of strategies, including waste reduction, recycling, and proper disposal. Several companies are working on solutions to improve it. Among these is ReLearn, an Italian startup dedicated to promoting sustainable practices and monitoring waste disposal. This paper wants to propose a new speech classification pipeline that aims to improve the capabilities of NANDO, a smart bin produced by ReLearn. This pipeline aims to help people place their waste in the correct bin and thus improve the quality of waste collection.
