Casa, Cucina, Cantina: fonti d’archivio per un cerimoniale domestico tra Cinquecento e Seicento

La spesa cibaria della corte di Torino è registrata nei volumi del fondo archivistico “Casa, Cucina e cantina” e permette uno studio inedito sulle residenze ducali tra fine Cinquecento e inizio Seicento. Una sorta di cerimoniale domestico che, attraverso l’analisi dei dati quotidiani che riguardano il rifornimento della casa del principe, permette una lettura della storia politica e istituzionale ma anche di uso del territorio e di architetture di loisir. Un’immagine funzionale alla formazione dello stato, in cui anche i rituali legati alla tavola del duca sono costitutivi della corte stessa. The food expenditure of the Turin court is recorded in the volumes of the archive collection “Casa, Cucina, Cantina (Home, Kitchen, wine Cellar)” and enables original studies on the ducal residencies between the end of the XVI century and the beginning of the XVI century. It’s like a “domestic ritual” that, through the daily entries of the food provisions, casts an eye on the political and institutional history but also on the use of the territory and of the architecture of loisir. A functional picture for the state creation, where the rituals connected to the table of the Duke are an integral part of the court itself.
