Gli archivi cinematografici di architettura: oltre la conservazione

This contribution aims to investigate the role of archives in the knowledge of architectural heritage. In this age the culture of memory poses archives as an active tool for interpretation and actualization of the past. Starting from the documental function towards that of interpretation of these sources, from basic conservation to the process of enhancement of architects and film directors, architectural film archives are able to deliver a panorama with prominent Italian experiences for a recognition in which digital tools allow the realization of a new analytical multimedia perspective.
