Cagliari's town hall is the result of an original symbolic construction of municipal power. It shows the resilience of local characters in the pursuit of a new cultural programme. The intervention proposes a study of the modifications of the provincial and municipal palaces that took place in the last decade of the 19th century. The interior and exterior of the palaces illustrate the vast undertaking of decoration and the affirmation of their - new - symbols and traditions.
