The book is organized into 11 chapters. The first two chapters aim to discuss the concept of well-being from different perspectives including various traditions, different times in history and different contexts. Then the discussion goes in the direction of practice and policy in order to understand the legal frame about the concept. Afterwards existing design approaches that have specific value for well-being studies are discussed and their specific methodologies are analysed. Starting from Chapter 5, the authors introduce the well-being framework for interiors and apply this framework to the research and survey studies that follow this chapter.
