This study analyses the potential of recovery and re-functionalization of a sector born as industriai, then converted far mi!itary usage, now unused, situated in via Bologna in Turin, awaiting transformation and sale by the CDP. The ex-ante technical and environmental evaluations of the vocations of use and of the appropriate intervention technologies are at the basis of the results of the structural and technological diagnosis. The most reliable farecast of interventions and average costs make it possible to address the process, in particular far a heritage with historical-architectural and testimonial values, but not considered of monumental value, whose maintenance potential is conditioned by the potential far re-use. The demands far re-use and seismic safety, far which the current /egislation, in the case of reinforced concrete pavilions of the beginning of the 20th century, poses stringent limitations to re­use. lf these structural and seismic safety requisites are not met, the functional recovery operation, in a conservative po;nt of view, is technically and financial/y impossible. The study is the subject of laboratory and thesis in Architecture and Restoration of the Tu rin Polytechnic, in collaboration with the Army lnfrastructure Department. The pre-feasibility analysis was articulated with an analytica/-eva/uative process of: knowledge and analysis of conservation conditions, metric and constructive survey, analysis of technological and structural degradation with reference to the law of the time, non-destructive analysis, elaboration of a cafculation model, outline of adaptation techniques - structural reinforcement (CAM system and FRP composites), economie analysis of structural adjustment alternatives, evaluation of the feasibility of adaptive reuse.
