In this chapter, the transmission, reflection, and absorption properties of sewage sludge biochar in the microwave frequency band are studied. Samples of epoxy resin filled with sewage sludge are fabricated in order to fit rectangular waveguides in the C-band and X-band. Transmission and reflection coefficients are measured on samples of 4 mm thickness filled with 10 wt.% and 20 wt.% of biochar. Shielding effectiveness is also evaluated from the measured transmission coefficients.
