Archivio Istituzionale della RicercaThe contribution proposes a critical analysis of some documents drafted between 1808-1809 and related to the construction of the optical telegraphic lines from Turin to Venice (via Milan and Mantua). It highlights the graphic values of such documents based on the precise eidetic procedural protocol, which was used to create them, still closely linked to engineering practice of specific needs of a large-scale territorial project (of communication). In this sense, it frames the documents in the context of Representation.
