The conservation and enhancement of the religious architectural heritage concern a wide range of studies that includes both theories and the more operational experiences. The disciplines that, even in a transversal way, are interested in these themes are those of restoration, of the history of architecture, of the history of liturgy, to include the estimative and managerial aspects, which open the scenario of knowledge aimed at the verification of sustainability in the perspective of new projects. Investigating the themes connected with the "regeneration" of redundant churches is a current topic throughout the country, where significant dismantlement dynamics of large religious complexes and churches are held by congregations, religious institutes and dioceses that can no longer cope with the cogent need for the management and maintenance of these assets. This reality is known throughout Italy thanks to the census activity promoted by the CEI and which highlights a first state of the art. What strategies therefore for the conservation and maintenance of these assets? Which areas of reference and which actors are best suited to start this regeneration project? The present contribution aims to illustrate, in-depth experiences and research on the topic conducted in collaboration with international associations such as the Churches Conservation Trust (CCT_UK).

Abstract
The present contribution aims to illustrate, in-depth experiences and research on the topic conducted in collaboration with international associations such as the Churches Conservation Trust (CCT_UK).Pubblicazioni consigliate
