This manual describes how to use PowerChecker version 4.1, the CAD tool for the estimation and optimization of energy consumption for Systems-On-Chip. The following guide aims to introduce the user to the methodologies of RTL power estimation and optimization provided by this tool, it also illustrates the complete flow command by command, including advanced features and tips in order to obtain the best results and customize the program for personal design flows. This manual is structured as follows: -Introduction to the methodology -installation instructions - Detailed description of the flow and advanced features of the three optimization tools -Tutorial If the reader should want a more direct approach with the software can skip to “Tutorial”, which contains many clear and exhaustive examples.
