The use of innovative technologies to improve the hospital drug management process, and in particular its part concerned with logistics, needs to be supported by appropriate decision-making models basing their assessments on both technological issues and the characteristics of healthcare organisations. The frameworks existing in literature are sometimes too complicated to guide towards clear solutions, especially when scarce and/or qualitative information is available. This work presents a new decision-making approach in order to provide hospital managers with a simple but complete tool assisting in the selection of adequate technologies to make drug logistics more efficient. Its first application to some of the most diffused technologies is discussed.

Abstract
The use of innovative technologies to improve the hospital drug management process, and in particular its part concerned with logistics, needs to be supported by appropriate decision-making models basing their assessments on both technological issues and the characteristics of healthcare organisations. The frameworks existing in literature are sometimes too complicated to guide towards clear solutions, especially when scarce and/or qualitative information is available. This work presents a new decision-making approach in order to provide hospital managers with a simple but complete tool assisting in the selection of adequate technologies to make drug logistics more efficient. Its first application to some of the most diffused technologies is discussed.Pubblicazioni consigliate
