Classification and Identity of the industrial landscape. Borgo Rossini has become in the part of a process of trasformation, lounched throught a series of spontaneus private initiatives, at different levels of the intervention. It rapresents a positive model of conservation and valorization of the urban industrial landscape and stand for the city as an example of how to renovate itself without deleting a meaningful part of its identity. In order to preserve an industrial historical landscape in most of its integrity, with concern for its historical, architectural and cultural value, it becomes necessary to develop a shared project. It needs to involve the recovery, reuse and valorization of former artifacts at all scales, from manufactured products to the whole settlement. The shared recognition of that landscape value represents the first step on the path toward the valorization of architectural specificities, of human, economical and cultural resources, in a balanced relationship with the rest of the city
