Fabbriche, borghi e memorie. Processi di dismissione e riuso post-industriale a Torino Nord

Il libro affronta il tema della dismissione e degli esiti di quasi trentanni di trasformazione, fra conservazione e ricostruzione, dalla scala territoriale alla microurbana, alle architetture e alle tecnologie costruttive e di intervento. La prima parte apre a confronti sui temi della costruzione e della riqualificazione e riplasmazione, affrontando i problemi della patrimonializzazione, dellevoluzione dellabitare e delle tecnologie. La seconda parte, pone l’attenzione sul ruolo della comunicazione, sulle potenzialità di reti web e data base storico-scientifici. La terza parte analizza il ruolo e le prospettive del patrimonio industriale, i sistemi costruttivi, l’identità del paesaggio industriale, tra mantenimento e cambiamento. La quarta parte riguarda la parte urbana oggetto di specifica indagine – il territorio di Torino Nord – approfondendo la ricostruzione della formazione del territorio industriale e la trasformazione delle fabbriche fino ad oggi, costituendo un repertorio di schedatura. The book aims to present the theme of brownfields and the implementation of nearly thirty years of plans and projects on these areas, ranging between conservation and rehabilitation, at any scale, from urban to district and block level. The first part deals with planning, building, upgrading and reshaping of brownfields facing the problems of their cultural heritage and the evolution in technology and way of living. The second part emphasizes the role of communication, web and ICT networks, multi-media technologies in the knowledge and documentation of the history and culture of these special territories. The third part analyzes the role and perspectives of industrial heritage, building systems, industrial landscape identity, between maintenance and change. The fourth is concerned with a specific urban district – the North area of Turin – detailing its industrialization process, representing its evolution by historical maps, analyzing settlements and their architecture.
