We have considered an initial-value problem (IVP) for arbitrary small three-dimensional perturbations imposed on basic shear flows. We analyze three typical shear flows: the plane Poiseuille and Couette channel flows, as prototypes of wall-bounded flows, the two-dimensional bluff-body wake, as an example of unbounded flow, and the two- and three-dimensional boundary layer flows, as examples of partially bounded flows.

Abstract
We have considered an initial-value problem (IVP) for arbitrary small three-dimensional perturbations imposed on basic shear flows. We analyze three typical shear flows: the plane Poiseuille and Couette channel flows, as prototypes of wall-bounded flows, the two-dimensional bluff-body wake, as an example of unbounded flow, and the two- and three-dimensional boundary layer flows, as examples of partially bounded flows.Pubblicazioni consigliate
