This chapter of a handbook of Olympic studies is devoted to 20th Olympic Games, Turin 2006. In particular, the text is focused on the spatial model of the Games, that were characterised by a dual location of Olympic venues: in the city and in the upper part of two apine valleys. This situation created a complex relationship between the two areas and different types of legacy in each spatial context. Moreover, some possible repercussions of the Turin Olympic Games on Olympic movemente are analysed, with particular interest in envorinmental governance.
