The string called “Graphic standards” specifies a series of topics in which survey representations have to use different projections and conventional signs and symbols, aiming to become a universal language. Sources for this analysis are UNI Standards and architectural handbooks. They are compared and interpreted by synthesis proposals, useful both for professionals and for students. Acknowledging the unique opportunities and challenges digital technology offers in the production of architectural graphics every topic is analyzed considering the tools that vector software make available. The case study of Duomo di Mondovì may be an interesting place for experimentation of the proposals, using digital tools.
