This paper presents a 3D FEM thermal and fluid dynamic model with reduced computational time of a motor used in washdown applications. In the following chapters the set-up of the model and the results are described in detail. Thermal tests of a real motor have been performed for the validation and the calibration of the model, which is used afterwards to evaluate new technical solutions in order to improve the thermal performances of the motor.
