Abstract

Ceramics materials are becoming the key ingredient when developing novel materials for energy conversion and storage technologies. Solar cells based on organolead halide perovskites have reached and surpassed silicon photovoltaics, and the challenge is now that of establishing upscalable technologies for their production and polymer-based materials for boosting long-term stability. At the same time, ceramics are standing out as leading components for solid-state batteries, both lithium- and sodium-based.
