The unusually large number of architectural members brought to light during the excavation of the property Κμ1293D was themain reason for implementing the programme of restoring and enhancing the south part of the ancient agora of Kos. in accordance with the approved study, this programme included on the one hand the restoration of part of the east colonnade of the monument, and on the other indicating the outlines of the shops and the tholos, which were uncovered in the excavated plot. Specifically, thirty-six ancient stones, of the total of sixty-five, were used to restore two columns to full height, with the corresponding parts of the crepis and of the cornice. one other column stands to the height of the lowest drum. in the north shop, of which the foundations survive, conservation work is in progress and the construction will be left as it is. in the south shop, of which even the foundations have been destroyed, the walls are being restored to a height of one course, so as to denote its outline. Corresponding completions are being made to the podium of the tholos.
