The aim of this paper is to apply the Generalized Wiener Hopf (GWH) technique to obtain the solution of the scattering by a three part PEC plane. In developing this task we observe that a novel network representation in the Laplace domain of a semi layer slab bounded by a PEC is required. This representation of semi layer slab is based on the Fredholm factorization. The circuital representation of semi slab leads to a two port network. The connection of this two port network with the two one port networks representing the two angular regions constitutes a circuit that provides a Fredholm integral equation of second kind easily to be solved.

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to apply the Generalized Wiener Hopf (GWH) technique to obtain the solution of the scattering by a three part PEC plane. In developing this task we observe that a novel network representation in the Laplace domain of a semi layer slab bounded by a PEC is required. This representation of semi layer slab is based on the Fredholm factorization. The circuital representation of semi slab leads to a two port network. The connection of this two port network with the two one port networks representing the two angular regions constitutes a circuit that provides a Fredholm integral equation of second kind easily to be solved.
