The drawing of space is historically the method for achieving its knowledge, so that the visualisation of a territory becomes essential to its planning. Information Technologies (IT) provide nowadays new opportunities to enhance the process of knowledge building and sharing by means of spatial data visualisation. In this context, this chapter introduces the historical concept behind the production and perception of spatial data visualisation and proposes it as a support to decision making related to spatial issues.
