FAP.2 has been enriched with a semi-automatic approach for the definition of the fuzzy rules and the possibility for the user of choosing the number and the type of fuzzy sets. FAP.2 was tested on a sample data set of unsafe acts and unsafe conditions collected in an assembly shop of a manufacturing plant of the automotive domain, with the aim of correlating the specific clusters of recorded events to the more suitable for Preventive and Protective Measures (PPMs). Abstract

The present work deals with the update of Fuzzy Application Procedure-FAP originally devised for the analysis. In this new methodological approach, the direct and indirect causes of an unsafe act or condition will be the input fuzzy sets and the families of PPMs
