Archivio Istituzionale della RicercaThe chapter deals with the definition of the inventory of the data and tools used by the different EU countries to evaluate the transport-related environmental conditions for a sustainable transport planning. The levels of planning options are also defined. Then a selection of the most proper assessment methods is provided, suitable to implement a Strategic Envuronmental Assessment (SEA). Finally, the core of the chapetr is devoted to the proposal of a set of transport indicators to be adopted in the SEA context.
