Archivio Istituzionale della RicercaWe report in detail the direct synthesis and the full characterization (XRD, SEM, microprobe analysis) of a series of MFI zincosilicates prepared through the shortchain alkylamine route. Special attention was devoted to the description of the local environment of the Zn species in the MFI lattice after exposing the as synthesized zeolite to various thermal treatments, by means of FTIR. A model depicting the structural state of the various Zn species in our Zn-MFI is presented and discussed.

Abstract
